Why is this service free? I am currently running few applications on a server that is owned and operated by Yahoo Small Business. As part of the hosting package, I am also entitled to the email services. The hosting package that I have entitles me to around 200 email accounts out of which I am utilizing only 2.

I do re-call someone in the past suggesting the idea of publishing a Ghodasara family tree on the net but it never materialize for some reason or the other. Then finally a week or two ago, my Masi/Kaki – Pravina Ketan Ghodasara inquired about the possibility of creating a website similar to www.dhamsania.com

The timing of this suggestion could not have been better – was itching to crack-open some php/mysql applications for a while, also I wasn’t utilizing the Ghodasara.com hosting package to it’s fullest and most importantly found it difficult to refuse my masi’s request!

After researching various content management systems and genealogy systems, I narrowed down a FAQ management system which I thought would serve our purpose (hopefully) better if it was customized a little.The primary objective of this site is to ‘at least’ list the lineage of The Haribhai Ghodasara Family. The secondary idea it to share family news, whereabouts, photo gallery, announcements, etc ...

Implementing this site is going to be easy, however the challenge is to keep the family/users engaged, keeping the site up to date and most importantly relevant. Considering the amount of response and enthusiasm that we have got, I am hoping we should be able to overcome this challenge.
